Philippians 3:7-11 | April 7, 2024

Businesses large and small take time to look at their income and expense statements. Were there losses? Where did we gain? When do we take such a survey of our own life in light of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus? This week, the Apostle Paul guides us through his way of counting the costs of being a follower of Jesus. Perhaps we, too, can learn how to make Jesus the all-consuming center of our lives.

  1. I praise God for your sharing of this precious, life-giving truth. I was taught Phil. 3:10 by Bill Hart’s mom. The way to resurrection life is through willingly letting the cross of Jesus be applied to our sinful, selfish nature, so we can have the desire and the power from the Holy Spirit to live for the glory of God and the Lord Jesus in all we do. The Lord used several circumstances in my life to bring me to that point of complete surrender and from then on revealed more and more what that included. He ever keeps us humble, knowing that the power comes from Him alone. We need to be open and willing to bow before Him and admit our need. Praising the Lord, He is not finished with any of us yet, until we go be with Him in the place He is preparing for us in heaven. Your sister in Christ Jesus, ❤️ ✝️ 🙏 🤲 Judy Westerman
